Being at a constant toxic attack can be very harmful to our body. We are surrounded by toxins and other harmful substances on a daily basis. Toxins are present in the environment and in every product we use, from food to beauty products. Thankfully, they are removed in a natural way by our body.
The body can contain two types of toxins, ones that are naturally removed through the kidneys and the blood, which are known as water soluble toxins. On the other hand, the other kinds are more challenging to be removed. These are known as fat-soluble toxins. We will discuss the latter in more details.
These toxins can only be removed from the body when they become water soluble. The liver is essential because the toxins can reach the blood, cells and brains through the liver. This can happen even when the digestive system is functioning properly.

When digesting a meal, two types of fats (toxic and nutritional) are mixed from the stomach to the small intestine. The bile from our liver and gallbladder emulsifies them in the small intestine. The small intestine has millions of tiny villi and lacteals. They are responsible for the absorption of the nutritional fats and move the toxic fats to the liver for the procession. This promotes the gut cleansing. If the detox pathways are not functioning properly these fat soluble toxins won’t be eliminated and will be accumulated in the body. The Gut Associated Lymphatic Tissue
The Gut Associated Lymphatic Tissue, or GALT, is the primary part of the lymphatic system located around the intestinal tract. The lacteals cause the absorption and processing of both toxic and nutritional fats. With the function of villi and lacteals, the lymphatic system transfers the absorbed fats to the liver. The liver uses the good fats to produce cholesterol, hormones, skin, and brain cells. When they are processed the liver marks them for removal.
When the lymphatic system is congested it seriously influences the process of usage of good fats and removal of bad fats. The congested GALT can harm the lymphatic system.

This results in the production of reactive mucus. The mucus build-up will cause bloating and frequent bowel movements. In a case of mucus in the stool, immediately pay your doctor a visit.
Toxins can be difficult to be disintegrated when there is an obstruction of the normal immune response and the delivery of fats. The mucus membranes should be balanced and there should be established an ideal flow of the bile from the liver.
The bile is responsible for the digestive fats. Moreover, it works as an immune system responder in the digestive tract. The bile can disintegrate all harmful toxins and a large amount of it will be removed through stool. In case you don’t consume food rich in fiber, the liver will absorb 94% of the bile together with the toxins. Thus, the liver will be congested.
The liver can be congested for a long period of time and it can become very sludgy. Thus, it won’t be able to disintegrate the fat soluble toxins. It will result in mucus build up, villi irritation and congestion. Moreover, over time these toxins can transform into neurotoxins and get stored in the fatty tissues in our brain. This will result in various health problems.
The body should be detoxed through fat removal. Thus, improving the lifestyle, losing weight, reducing stress levels and having a healthy diet are crucial to this process.

Here’s a powerful and effective liver cleansing remedy.
Remedy for Liver/ Gall Bladder Cleansing
- 3 lemons or a single large grapefruit
- 4 tbsp epsom salt
- Half cup of virgin olive oil
- Apple juice (you may also use malic acid supplements)– optional
Before you start the treatment, 4 to 5 days, take as many apples you can or drink apple juice. Moreover, use malic acid supplements. In the last two days, take 8 ounces of apple juice every 2 to 3 hours.
1st day of the treatment
You should start with a light breakfast without any fats. This will help in the accumulation of bile in the liver, creating pressure.
At 2pm the same day
Mix 4 tbsp of Epsom salts in three cups of water in a jar. Keep it in the refrigerator. Avoid taking any food after 2 pm.
Take three-fourth cup of the mixture from the jar. To improve the flavor you can add 1/8 tbsp of powdered vitamin C.
At 8 pm
Take again three-fourths of the mixture. You shouldn’t do anything after doing a liver cleanse, just lying down and sleeping.
Take a jar and add half of a cup of the virgin olive oil into it. Take the grapefruit and squeeze the juice into the jar. Use a fork to remove the pulp. This will give you half to three-fourths juice to mix with the olive oil. Close the lid and shake well.
At 10 pm
Drink the whole mixture within 5 minutes.
Next, lie down on your right side. The right knee should be kept up pointing to your chin for around 20-25 minutes. Feel free to fall asleep and make sure you don’t move.
The next morning
As soon as you wake up, take three-fourth cup of Epsom salt dosage and you can again go to sleep. Consume the remaining salts 2 hours later. Wait for another 2 hours before you take anything (avoid solid fruits yet). Take only fluids and then gradually move to fruits.
