A study published in 2015 in the Iranian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research looked at how applying a topical preparation containing extract of curcumin might benefit people with plaque psoriasis because of its effect on skin cell production.

The study consisted of 34 participants who applied the preparation for 9 weeks.

At the end of the study period, the participants’ symptoms had improved significantly; they had fewer lesions and an improved quality of life.”

How to Make a Honey Turmeric Paste for Psoriasis

Making a honey turmeric paste for psoriasis is one of the best ways to calm your aggravated skin. You can use it as a compress or a cream for your skin!


  • 2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • Water


Add 2 tblsp of turmeric in a glass bowl, and pour the water, in order to prepare a smooth paste. TNext, add the honey, stir, and apply the turmeric paste on the psoriasis patches in a thick layer.

Secure with cotton gauze, and leave it to act overnight.  Repeat every night until the patches are completely cured.


Turmeric can temporarily stain skin light yellow so be careful with it. The stain goes away over 1-2 days. It can also disappear fast when you wash the area well with soap.
